What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?

I am passionate about the accounting profession as I serve on several American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) volunteer committees such as the AICPA Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, the AICPA Foundation Board of Trustees, and the AICPA Student Recruitment Committee. I also serve on the Board of the Maryland Association of CPAs Education Foundation.  I volunteered to review applications for the AICPA Foundation CPA Exam Scholarship and the 2020 Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop. I give back to the community as an appointed Board Member of Maryland 529 (formerly the Maryland College Savings Plan of Maryland),  where I serve on the Audit and Governance Committee. I am also a member of the community service sorority Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
